The Seed
By Miko Watkins
A seed was planted
All those years ago
And with each passing season,
It continued to grow and grow.
Despite the adversity it faced,
And there was so, so much;
It still persevered,
Often without a gentle, caring touch.
It never gave up,
Somehow the Hope continued to thrive
And the Fruit began to multiply
And life wasn’t just something to survive.
It began to fill its life with joyful moments,
Standing fast, even if it was easier to stray
Not second guessing every hurdle
That often stood in its way.
It became an answered prayer,
Even if I never thought it was true
The Message, now, is more clear And just maybe—that seed was You.
